The book is divided into four large chapters based on historical parishes: Halliste and Karksi, Helme, Paistu and Tarvastu. Each of these provides an overview of the clothing of a specific region, item by item. For the most common clothing types, cut diagrams have been compiled based on old items, which represent the cuts typical of the region in a broader sense. At the end of the work, the drawings and measurements of the original items on which all the cut diagrams are based are in their original form without any adjustments.
The tangible heritage of Mulgimaa is a particularly rich treasure trove. The compilers of this collection believe that the material gathered between these covers will open new doors for the reader to better understand the history and culture of this corner of Estonia.
